Orkin Names Warneke Division Technical Services Manager
Atlanta-based pest control leader Orkin recently added James Warneke as its Southeast Division technical services manager. Warneke will work directly with Orkin’s Southeast division branches to provide professional technical expertise and training on customer service and pest treatment approaches. In addition to assisting branches with specific pest issues, Warneke also will oversee technical training and development initiatives.
Warneke has worked in the pest control industry since 1979, and, before joining Orkin, led the Walt Disney World Pest Management program for more than 15 years. With Disney, Warneke managed the pest management program for the entire Walt Disney World property in Central Florida. There he developed and implemented pest management programs for four theme parks; 18 resorts with more than 25,000 rooms; 250 food locations; 200 buses; and numerous merchandise locations. In addition to the Central Florida property, he also oversaw the pest management program for two Disney cruise ships and a private island in the Bahamas.
“With more than 30 years of pest management experience, Jim is a well-known entomologist and technical expert,” said Greg Clendenin, Orkin division president, Southeast Division. “Under Jim’s leadership the pest management department at Disney became one of the most highly thought of in the world. We look forward to benefiting from his extensive knowledge and leadership at Orkin.”
Warneke graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., with a bachelor’s degree in entomology. He lives with his wife, Kim, in St. Cloud, Fla., and has a son, daughter and four grandchildren. Warneke is on the board of advisors for the National Entomology Scent Detection Canine Association (NESDCA).
