Baumann Promoted to Vice President of Training and Technical Services
Rollins Inc., a nationwide consumer services company (NYSE: ROL), announced today that it is promoting Greg Baumann to vice president of training and technical services effective Feb. 1. Baumann will replace David Lamb, vice president of Rollins learning and media services, who is retiring April 4. The move combines the company’s award-winning training department with its technical services functions, which oversees technological advancements and research. Company leaders believe the synergies between the two departments will help keep technical developments at the forefront of training.
“With David’s retirement, it made sense to combine the technical services group and the training group,” said Gene Iarocci, vice president of Rollins corporate administration. “Greg’s extensive experience with food safety, toxicology, research, education, operations and risk management make him an excellent candidate to lead the newly combined departments.”
A highly respected figure in the pest control industry, Baumann has more than 30 years of experience, including 16 years at the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). He joined Rollins in 2010 as the technical services director assigned to the marketing and global digital strategies departments where he focused on business development.
Lamb joined Rollins in 2004 as vice president of training and development. He has more than 35 years of corporate and consulting experience in organizational learning, performance improvement and human resource management. Under his leadership, Orkin, a subsidiary of Rollins Inc., was named to Training Magazine’s Top 125 for 10 consecutive years. Lamb and his team have won numerous learning industry awards, such as ASTD Best, CLO magazine’s Learning Innovation Award and Learning Elite Award as the best small company learning function.
