What are the tiny black pellets on my kitchen counter and in my silverware drawer?
Question: I have never had an insect problem. Recently, I found a few tiny black pellets on the kitchen counter and in the silverware drawer. Please tell me these are not roaches, because I'll move!!
Answer: These could be house mouse droppings. Then again, it could be some of the larger cockroach droppings like those of the American or Smokey Brown, which, in the case of the American roach, the droppings are close to the size of a mouse's. These roaches will travel through cabinets using plumbing and electrical wiring.
It could also be some smaller dropping, about the size of pepper grains, in that case it would be a German Cockroach, which also makes good use of the plumbing and wiring in cabinets, and, being so small, can easily travel through very small cracks and crevices. Then again, it could be nothing.
Your description is a little vague, thus an accurate determination of what the pellets are would be hard to make. Basically what I am trying to say there is no telling what your problem is!
